What is included
Enter comparable gross amounts
Enter current and target pay, selecting a frequency for each. Use your regular hours per week and paid weeks per year. All amounts are before tax. Use the same currency for both amounts. This is arithmetic; it contains no wage benchmark, tax estimate, or cost-of-living adjustment.
Conversion rules
Annual multipliers: annual 1; monthly 12; semimonthly 24; biweekly 26; weekly paid weeks; hourly hours per week times paid weeks. Monthly equivalent is annual divided by 12. Weekly equivalent is annual divided by paid weeks. Hourly equivalent is annual divided by hours and paid weeks. Enter positive hours and weeks. Zero or missing current pay leaves percentage change unavailable.
Compare the result
Dollar change = target annual pay minus current annual pay. Percentage change = dollar change divided by positive current annual pay times 100. Monthly change = annual change divided by 12. Keep calculation precision until display; amounts display to two decimals.
Worked examples
Example A: 25 per hour, 40 hours per week, 52 paid weeks = 52,000 per year. Example B: 80,000 to 88,000 annual = 8,000 annual change, 10 percent, and 666.67 monthly change. These are arithmetic examples, not market recommendations.
Use the workbook
Edit the blue input cells on Inputs. Read the formula-driven Results sheet. Frequency codes are annual, monthly, semimonthly, biweekly, weekly, hourly. Start with your own amounts; blank cells are intentionally unassessed. A negative amount is invalid. Compare similar schedules before discussing a raise.
