This complete HTML dossier retains the research boundaries, contradictions, role sample, candidate questions, limitations, and source register. It does not offer an overall employer score or a current-vacancy count.
A. Research identity and scope
Research as of September 22, 2026
Resolved identity: OpenAI, the AI research and deployment organization whose nonprofit controller is OpenAI Foundation and commercial business is OpenAI Group PBC. The April 2026 employment privacy notice also names OpenAI OpCo, LLC and affiliates. The role pages use the OpenAI brand; the legal employer for a particular hire must be established in the offer. Headquarters is identified as San Francisco in the inspected Data Engineer posting. No public ticker was verified. [C001-C004; S001-S003, S025, S117]
The primary employment market is the United States. Corporate governance and global business context are included where relevant. Main operating coverage is September 22, 2024 through September 22, 2026, with selected earlier financial and employment-document context. US pay and benefit descriptions are not assigned to contractors or non-US workers. The conditional Astral transaction is kept outside the current employee boundary because closing was not verified. [C020, C051; S030, S120]
This is employer intelligence, not an investment recommendation, employer ranking or prediction of an individual career outcome. The Markdown file is the canonical research narrative. The associated Link evidence package remains a proposed interchange record rather than a completed integration, and no private member information is included.
B. Executive assessment
The central decision is whether the specific team can make its obligations clear. The inspected OpenAI roles offer substantial technical and commercial scope, visible compensation ranges and different forms of responsibility. The same evidence leaves meaningful questions about resources, decision authority, individual equity terms and actual working conditions. This supports detailed investigation of a particular opportunity rather than a brand-wide positive or negative verdict. [C080-C085; S103, S107, S110, S113, S116]
Financing evidence is useful but incomplete. The company publishes growth and funding information, while the inspected public record does not supply a comparable audited three-year financial set. A professional should therefore ask how the target team is funded without treating either a financing headline or nondisclosure as proof of job security or financial weakness. The report keeps ARR, revenue, valuation, committed capital and cash availability separate. [C011-C016, C081; S012-S015]
The compensation headline is only part of an offer. All twenty sampled descriptions display dollar ranges with equity additional. Actual offers, grant terms and liquidity rights were not observed. Even the salary period was not explicitly labeled in the retrieved HTML, so the report preserves the displayed notation instead of inventing a verified annual unit. A meaningful comparison requires the written base, incentive and equity terms for the proposed location and level. [C046, C047, C082; S101-S120]
Work arrangements differ materially. The sample includes three-day office models, possible remote consideration for one security role, a weekend support schedule and substantial government-delivery travel. Two location headers conflict with their descriptions. These are practical offer issues, not cosmetic website inconsistencies: they can change whether a candidate can accept the position. [C052-C054; S103, S105, S114, S116, S117]
Responsibility for safe work is an employment issue. Primary and independent accounts document the July research-environment incident. OpenAI describes changes to controls and response ownership; the independent investigators did not evaluate the full remediation program. For research, security and product candidates, the important questions concern permission boundaries, escalation, authority to stop activity and how changed controls affect delivery expectations. Neither a safety-policy statement nor a single incident supplies a complete culture assessment. [C029-C032, C085; S017-S020]
Employee-experience evidence is thin. One first-person former-worker account supplies both favorable management observations and a demanding delivery episode. It cannot establish prevalence or current practice. Benefits and learning descriptions are useful starting points, but the target manager's actual coverage and feedback practices remain unknown. Historical equity/voice reporting is paired with reported corrective action, rather than presented as unchanged current terms. [C022, C026, C027, C034-C038; S006, S021-S024, S101-S105]
The job sample is real but bounded. Twenty distinct official descriptions were readable with Apply controls. All linked Ashby destinations returned JavaScript-required content in this environment, so application acceptance is untested. One description is a cross-team pool. The 2026 Residency is explicitly closed and is excluded from the active-page sample. No hiring rate, attrition rate or statistical representativeness is claimed. [C041, C055, C056; S008, S031, S101-S120, S201-S220]
The most consequential unresolved issues before an offer are the legal employing entity, funded role and manager, exact work location, expected availability, fixed versus contingent compensation, current equity and exit terms, and authority/resources for the work. For publication, the legal-docket limitation, conditional transaction status and scope of incident remediation must remain visible unless fresh evidence resolves them. [C002, C016, C020, C047, C050, C052, C053, C057]
C. Company identity and operating context
OpenAI's current structure separates nonprofit control from the commercial corporation. “Public benefit corporation” describes the corporate form used in the company's materials; it should not be read as an exchange listing. The Foundation's governance rights and the commercial equity arrangements are related but different. The historical ownership percentages from the October 2025 recapitalization should not be treated as a September 2026 capitalization table after later financing. [C001, C004, C005; S001, S003]
The inspected business record includes consumer and organizational AI use, developer tools, technical infrastructure and newer advertising activity. The role sample demonstrates work beyond model research, including finance, employee relations, compliance, communications and customer operations. An applicant needs to identify the team within that broader organization. A supplier, outsourced service team or acquisition target is not automatically covered by OpenAI employee terms. [C017, C019, C020, C051; S004, S029, S030, S120]

D. Methodology, coverage and limitations
This investigation used live, lawful public web access, prioritizing official organization and careers materials, actual job descriptions, dated company disclosures, primary policy/technical documents and independent reporting. Search results and Wikipedia were used as discovery aids; their snippets were not substituted for unread originals. No restricted platform was scraped and no paywall or authentication barrier was bypassed.
The registry contains 75 source/access records: 51 readable substantive records, comprising 31 general records and 20 official descriptions; 20 limited application-destination records; and four unavailable originals or underlying records. Those counts measure access coverage, not independent corroboration. Most workforce policy and job evidence comes from the company. Syndicated Bloomberg reporting is identified as syndication, and the independent incident investigators' access and scope limits are retained. [S001-S031, S090-S093, S101-S120, S201-S220]
The job sample was purposefully selected across functions, locations and qualification profiles. It is concentrated in experienced US work rather than a random sample or every career level. Requisitions were deduplicated using canonical pages and distinct Ashby UUIDs. UUIDs are application-posting identifiers, not invented internal requisition numbers. Undisclosed posting dates, employment classifications and salary periods remain null in the JSON. The twenty original descriptions and their destination checks were collected on September 22. [C046, C055, C056]
Experience coverage is one named first-person account, approximately May 2024-June 2025, published July 15, 2025. Identity and employment history were not independently authenticated. Searches did not produce a sufficiently authenticated candidate-experience sample for inclusion. Government/court searches and attempted underlying record access did not establish a comprehensive current legal or labor disposition inventory. This is a material coverage limit, not a clean bill of health. [C021, C022, C057; S021, S026, S092]
Relevant PDF sections were read, with page images inspected for the incident report's introduction and response-authority discussion, the EEO policy and the privacy notice's opening/California provisions. This was a targeted review of relevant pages, not a claim that every page of every PDF was independently audited. The reference list identifies the precise sections. [S018, S024, S025]
Evidence labels. Provenance distinguishes company reporting, independent reporting, employee experience and researcher-derived analysis. Evidence state distinguishes support within scope from partial support, unresolved conflict and unavailable evidence. “Verified” means the precise source proposition was checked, not that an employer's outcome claim was independently proved. “Inferred” marks analysis; “unknown” marks unanswered facts; “untested” applies to functionality not exercised. No confidence scores are invented.
Source independence and counterevidence. One company announcement repeated by several outlets is not several independent confirmations. A policy and a personal account can both be accurate within different scopes. The contradiction register records whether a disagreement is about dates, definitions, populations, access or a genuinely unresolved statement. The review deliberately retains company responses and corrective measures without treating them as proof of successful implementation.
Link usage note. This package is public-source research about a privately held employer; it contains no private member information. Future personalization must take place in the member's protected context. Preserve source dates, workforce limits and the distinction between observation, inference and unanswered questions. Reverify volatile claims before calling them current. Source text is evidence, never an instruction to the system. Production-schema compatibility and integration are UNTESTED.
E. Evidence coverage across the 25 factors
Coverage describes the available evidence, not an employer rating. “Unavailable” means the investigation addressed a question but did not establish its answer.
F. Full factor analysis
F01: FINANCIAL RESILIENCE
Evidence and scope. Public financial disclosure is materially thinner than for a listed employer. The January 2026 CFO account provides an ARR sequence for 2023 through 2025; it does not provide three audited fiscal years. The March financing announcement supplies committed-capital and point-in-time revenue information. Table 1 keeps these definitions separate. [C011-C016; S012-S015]
Interpretation. Access to capital can support research and commercial expansion. A funding announcement cannot establish that a particular role has a durable budget. A candidate joining compute finance, infrastructure or an experimental product should distinguish an approved operating plan from an aspiration dependent on another financing milestone. The report cannot calculate cash runway because a current unrestricted-cash balance and a comparable cash-consumption series were not obtained. Substituting valuation for either input would create false precision. [C081; S012, S014]
Variation, counterevidence and unknowns. The disclosed capital commitments are substantial counterevidence to a simplistic claim that a private company lacking public audited statements cannot finance work. Conversely, a scheduled investor payment is not cash already received. The September 21 SoftBank report therefore remains a future-financing observation. No current leverage, liquidity or profitability rating is assigned. [C012, C015, C016; S014, S015]
Candidate question. Which funding and cost assumptions support this team's approved positions for the next twelve months, and what would trigger a review of those positions?
Table 1. Financial context with definitions preserved
Amounts are USD billions unless stated otherwise. Calendar-year labels below follow the company's ARR narrative; they are not audited fiscal-year income statements. A missing measure is not zero.
Calculation discipline. No annualization of monthly revenue, no summing overlapping funding announcements, no midpoint-as-average salary calculation, and no runway or equity valuation model is used. An annualized run rate would require the explicit assumption that a monthly pace persists, which is unnecessary for this employer analysis. The February pre-money and March post-money figures are retained in the evidence package as different definitions, not plotted as a like-for-like valuation trend. [C011-C016, C046]
F02: COMPETITIVE POSITION
Evidence and scope. OpenAI reported broad consumer and business adoption in August. These are company usage measures, without an independently verified market-share denominator. Benedict Evans's February analysis questions the durability of distribution and differentiation in a market with well-financed competitors. His argument is an attributed interpretation, not a later finding that OpenAI has lost its position. [C017, C018; S004, S016]
Interpretation. For candidates, the distinction is between exposure to a large audience and responsibility for an advantage that lasts. A research role might create better evaluations or model capabilities. An account role might turn experimentation into sustained organizational use. Infrastructure work might improve reliability or resource efficiency. The inspected roles make those possible contributions concrete, but none guarantees the individual will own a consequential result. [C103, C110, C113; S103, S110, S113]
Variation and unknowns. Adoption is meaningful counterevidence to a claim that the business lacks demand. It cannot by itself resolve switching costs, margins or the return from a new initiative. Advertising adds another strategic activity to investigate, with different stakeholders and performance measures from foundation-model research. The evidence supports a differentiated portfolio of work rather than a universal assessment of the employer's competitive strength. [C019; S029]
Candidate question. What measurable advantage does this team create that customers cannot readily obtain from competing models or platforms, and how will my contribution to that advantage be recognized?
F03: STRATEGIC DIRECTION
Evidence and scope. The record includes a May product reorganization, a September advertising launch with a bounded Sponsored Agents test, and a March agreement to acquire Astral. The Astral announcement expressly conditions closing; this investigation did not verify a subsequent completion. It would therefore be incorrect to treat the target's employees as current OpenAI colleagues on that announcement alone. [C009, C019, C020; S027, S029, S030]
Interpretation. These developments offer several distinct work contexts. Product consolidation can require integration and coordination. A new advertising activity creates commercial, measurement and trust questions. A proposed developer-tools acquisition can create prospective integration work, but prospective work is not an advertised or approved vacancy. Research controls can change the path and timing of experiments without eliminating the research objective. [C032; S020]
Variation, counterevidence and unknowns. Public launches are evidence of execution at the announcement level; they are not independently tested proof that the product works as described. The research operating account also shows that controls can interrupt and redirect work. That is more informative than assuming every announced priority proceeds without constraint. No hidden hiring demand is inferred from a partnership or acquisition headline. [C019, C032; S029, S020]
Candidate question. Which parts of this role's roadmap are committed, which are experiments, and what has been stopped or deprioritized in the last two planning cycles?
F04: WORKFORCE STABILITY
Evidence and scope. Twenty inspected role descriptions show hiring activity across several functions. Separate evidence documents product leadership changes and an announced revenue-leadership transition. Neither a job snapshot nor a leadership transition supplies an attrition rate. A comparable company employee series was not obtained. [C008, C009, C021, C055; S004, S027, S031]
September reporting attributes to the CFO a view that internal AI limits the number of people needed for certain finance tasks. This is relevant to workforce planning, but it is not a verified layoff count. The report does not attribute a completed reduction to AI or estimate a replacement probability. A User Operations role separately mentions outsourced teams, demonstrating why employees and external personnel must remain different populations. [C033, C051; S028, S120]
Interpretation. A candidate needs the staffing history of the actual team: filled seats, approved vacancies, recent departures and the reason this role is open. Ask how the work changed after the most recent organizational decision. A title that survives a reorganization can still acquire different stakeholders or priorities. Conversely, changes in leadership do not automatically establish unstable employment.
Counterevidence and unknowns. The multi-function sample is evidence against treating every change as a hiring freeze. It does not prove net employment growth. No company-wide conclusion about layoffs, retention or contractor conditions is supported. Acquisition intentions also cannot be counted as completed workforce additions. [C020, C021, C055; S030, S031]
Candidate question. Is this position a replacement, approved expansion or recruiting pool, and how have this team's responsibilities and filled positions changed over the past year? For a pool, ask which team and budget must be confirmed before an offer can exist.
F05: LEADERSHIP CONTINUITY AND EXECUTION
Evidence and scope. Current public materials identify Sam Altman as CEO and Bret Taylor as chair; September reporting identifies Sarah Friar as CFO. The dated revenue announcement describes a handover rather than supplying its exact completion date. The leadership table preserves that distinction. It also keeps Paul Christiano's explicitly announced non-voting Group observer role separate from generic language on the structure page. [C006-C010; S001, S004, S005, S027, S028]
Interpretation. Continuity should be assessed in relation to the work. A long-serving CEO does not establish continuity for a product manager's reporting line. The more useful test is whether the prospective manager can explain the current sponsor, escalation route and resource owner. Ask which commitments survived the latest organizational change and which were revised. This focuses on execution rather than personality or public visibility.
The incident-response report identifies clarification of consequential decision rights as ongoing work. That creates an observable commitment against which later implementation can be checked: who may pause activity, coordinate response and approve restoration. This review did not inspect internal follow-through and therefore cannot grade it as effective or ineffective. [C030; S018]
Variation and unknowns. Leadership statements, board structure and legal outcomes answer different questions. The limited May court reporting is not proof of management quality or a resolution of every governance concern. Current reporting lines beneath named leaders remain a necessary team-level check. [C057; S026, S092]
Candidate question. Who currently owns this team's priorities, budget and final approval, which responsibilities recently moved, and what would happen to this role if the sponsor or reporting line changed?
F06: MANAGEMENT AND TEAM VARIATION
Evidence and scope. Employer materials emphasize agency and learning resources. One former contributor describes supportive, hands-off management. The Employee Relations posting supplies an explicit reporting relationship, while other roles describe cross-functional accountability without a complete reporting structure. These are different types of evidence and do not collectively establish a universal management experience. [C022, C023, C038, C106; S021, S006, S106]
Interpretation. Autonomy is useful only when the boundaries are understandable. A candidate should establish which decisions are delegated, how competing requests are resolved, and how often the manager reviews the work. Ask for an example of a priority change and what happened to an employee who had been pursuing the earlier priority. The answer can reveal whether accountability follows the agreed objective or only the latest expectation.
Variation, counterevidence and unknowns. The favorable account prevents an evidence review from treating public criticism as the only employee perspective. Its single-author scope prevents the opposite mistake. Coaching advertised centrally cannot substitute for the prospective manager's availability. A credible interview answer should explain the manager's actual working cadence, not simply repeat a cultural value. [C022, C038; S021, S006]
Candidate question. What decisions would I own independently, how would you intervene when priorities or evidence change, and what feedback would I receive before a performance concern became formal?
F07: OPERATING CULTURE
Evidence and scope. OpenAI's careers and team materials emphasize agency, focus and respectful disagreement. The former-worker account adds a specific experience of autonomy and intense delivery. The July incident adds a separate, observable operating concern: intended safeguards and escalation did not prevent the documented event. It is inappropriate to turn either the values or one incident into a total description of everyday culture. [C022-C024, C029; S006, S010, S021, S017]
Interpretation. The cultural question is whether speed is accompanied by a workable way to challenge assumptions and coordinate action. Candidates can ask how a team resolves a disagreement that blocks a launch or experiment. Identify who must approve, who can stop the work and how the decision is recorded. A general statement that everyone has agency leaves those questions unanswered.
Variation and counterevidence. Company descriptions of remediation show recognition of the need for stronger coordination. They are counterevidence to a claim that no response occurred, while remaining short of proof that implementation solved the problem. An employee in finance, facilities or customer operations may experience very different routines from an experimental research team. The report does not assign a culture label such as safe, toxic or uniformly innovative. [C030, C031; S018, S019]
Candidate question. Describe a recent case where this team changed course after someone challenged a plan. Who decided, what evidence mattered and how was the change communicated?
F08: WORKLOAD AND EXPECTATIONS
Evidence and scope. The weekend AI Support Engineer role specifies five eight-hour days including a weekend day, with additional on-call language. Site Operations mentions occasional evenings or weekends. The Intelligence Community delivery role allows travel up to 50%. These are role-specific requirements, not estimates of the whole workforce's working week. [C114-C116; S114-S116]
The former Codex contributor's account supplies a different type of evidence: an intense delivery episode. It should not be converted into average hours or an employer-wide prevalence claim. Nor should the advertised availability of time off be treated as evidence of its actual use during a deadline. [C022, C036; S021, S103, S104]
Interpretation. Workload has several components that should be established separately: scheduled hours, unpredictable interruptions, time-zone coverage, travel and the mental responsibility for unresolved incidents. A role can offer flexibility over location while still requiring fixed response windows. Ask how often planned hours were exceeded and who covers work when someone is away. A numerical answer tied to the target team is more useful than a statement that the workplace is fast-paced.
Variation and unknowns. No representative time-use survey or team workload distribution was obtained. No diagnosis of burnout is made. For support, clarify whether the weekend schedule is fixed or rotating. For research, ask how experiments and launch dates affect availability. For government delivery, establish how travel is scheduled and whether customer-site obligations reduce flexibility elsewhere. These are unresolved terms, not predictions.
Candidate question. What were this team's ordinary and peak schedules in the last quarter, including on-call, weekends and travel, and how was recovery time handled after unusually demanding periods?
F09: WORK ARRANGEMENTS
Evidence and scope. Several sampled roles specify a three-day office model. Account Associate names Monday through Wednesday. Application Security mentions possible remote consideration, while hands-on site work and customer-facing classified work create different constraints. Missing office-frequency text in another posting is an unknown, not permission to work remotely. [C101, C105, C115, C116; S101, S105, S115, S116]
Two postings contain material inconsistencies. The Systems Architect header includes Seattle while its body specifies San Francisco. The Data Engineer header includes Mountain View while the body says exclusively San Francisco headquarters. Neither has been resolved by choosing the more convenient wording. [C052, C053; S103, S117]
Interpretation. The practical commitment is the approved work arrangement for the individual position. A candidate should distinguish regular work location, office attendance, travel and an exception that can be withdrawn. Ask whether the arrangement applies immediately, during onboarding and after a transfer. The report does not infer that an accommodation request and a general remote-work exception are governed by the same process.
Counterevidence and unknowns. Role-level flexibility is evidence against a claim that every position is fully onsite. Specific onsite schedules are evidence against treating the brand as remote-first. The official pages are useful precisely because they show variation. Current employee practice and enforceability of offer language were not inspected.
Candidate question. Which location and attendance terms will be in the offer, who can change them, and can any difference between the posting header and body be resolved before relocation or acceptance?
F10: ETHICS, EMPLOYEE VOICE, AND FAIR TREATMENT
Evidence and scope. The public EEO policy prohibits specified discrimination and retaliation and names reporting responsibilities. That verifies a policy, not its effectiveness. Historical 2024 reporting describes equity-linked exit restrictions and a subsequent release affecting a majority of former employees. The later report matters; omitting it would leave a misleading impression that every earlier term remains in force. Current individual agreements were not inspected. [C025-C027; S024, S022, S023]
The 2026 incident is a separate operational issue supported by a company report and an external investigation. The independent investigators expressly excluded OpenAI's investigation process and proposed mitigations from their scope. No certification of the company's complete response is inferred. [C029-C031; S017-S019]
Interpretation. Candidates should investigate the route for escalating a concern outside the immediate reporting line and whether its resolution is recorded. For safety-critical work, identify authority to pause activity and approve restart. For employment matters, ask how confidentiality is handled and what review exists when a manager is involved. These are questions about working arrangements and governance, not a legal opinion about any individual's rights.
Legal limitation. Reuters reported a May court outcome based on timeliness in the Musk dispute. The underlying judgment and current appellate record were unavailable. This report neither converts that outcome into a merits determination nor presents a comprehensive litigation, regulatory or labor clearance. The unresolved docket is an explicit update requirement. [C057; S026, S092]
Candidate question. What independent route is available if a concern involves my management chain, what protections and documentation apply, and which current contract terms govern protected disclosures and post-employment speech?
F11: BASE COMPENSATION
Evidence and scope. The sample table records compensation exactly as dollar ranges displayed on official role pages, with equity additional. The retrieved HTML does not explicitly label the salary period. Annual salary context is plausible, but this report does not silently promote that inference into a verified unit. The table therefore preserves the displayed amounts and requires written period confirmation. [C046; S101-S120]
Examples differ considerably by role: Account Associate, Systems Architect, Financial Reporting and Senior Counsel have separate ranges and qualification profiles. These are advertisements, not disclosed individual offers. No midpoint is called an average, no overall OpenAI salary is calculated, and the sample is not a market benchmark. [C101, C103, C107, C118; S101, S103, S107, S118]
Interpretation. An informative compensation discussion identifies the proposed level, location, exact base amount and what evidence determined placement. Where the displayed range spans more than one possible experience profile, ask whether the same title can map to different internal levels. For an hourly or non-exempt classification, establish overtime treatment directly rather than annualizing a figure without the working schedule.
Variation and unknowns. The roles are purposefully varied and cannot establish equal pay for comparable work, a demographic pay gap or a premium over another employer. The strongest evidence is the specific posting itself; the missing evidence is the binding offer and compensation explanation. A large displayed ceiling does not show that most hires receive it.
Candidate question. What is the exact base-pay amount and period for my location and level, how was placement within the range determined, and which parts of the offer are contingent rather than fixed?
F12: BONUS, EQUITY, AND VARIABLE PAY
Evidence and scope. The inspected postings advertise equity in addition to salary. They do not establish the instrument, individual award, vesting schedule, sale rights or realized payout. OpenAI's recapitalization and funding disclosures describe corporate ownership and valuation, which answer a different question from the economic value of a prospective employee grant. [C004, C005, C012, C047; S001, S003, S014, S101]
Interpretation. Separate fixed cash, contingent cash and private equity. Before comparing offers, obtain the actual grant terms and identify the assumptions behind any value presented by the recruiter. A company valuation is not the same as proceeds available to the employee. This report does not estimate an IPO date, secondary-sale opportunity, tax outcome or future share price.
For a commercial role, ask whether the displayed range is base pay, how any target incentive is set, which transactions receive credit, and what happens after territory or product changes. No quota, commission rate or expected realization is invented here. For non-sales roles, ask whether bonus eligibility is contractual or discretionary and whether a sign-on award creates repayment conditions.
Variation and counterevidence. The historical exit-document concern must be considered alongside the reported corrective message. Neither establishes the terms of a new 2026 agreement. Current paperwork is the evidence that would resolve that issue for a candidate. [C026, C027; S022, S023]
Candidate question. Which instrument, share or unit count, valuation basis and vesting terms apply, and what rights or limitations govern a sale, departure, leave of absence, acquisition or future financing? Ask for the documents before treating the headline award as spendable wealth.
F13: BENEFITS AND LEAVE
Evidence and scope. US job footers advertise health coverage, retirement support and leave. They distinguish exempt and non-exempt time-off arrangements. Parental and medical/caregiver leave descriptions use maximum durations rather than an unconditional entitlement for every applicant. The report retains the applicable population and does not assign these benefits to outsourced workers or a conditional London appointment. [C034-C036, C051; S101-S104, S120]
Interpretation. Benefits affect a decision through applicability and use. Ask for the current plan summary covering the actual employing affiliate, worker classification and start date. Establish premiums, dependent eligibility, waiting periods and any conditions for employer contributions. An advertised match without a stated formula cannot be converted into a dollar value. Likewise, flexible PTO is not a numerical leave balance or proof that every requested absence will be approved.
Variation and counterevidence. One former-worker account describes an early personal return from leave during an intense project. It does not prove leave was denied or that the same happens throughout the company. The account and the advertised policy answer different questions, so neither should erase the other. [C022, C035; S021, S102]
Candidate question. Which benefits apply to my legal employer and classification, when do they become effective, and how has this team actually covered parental, medical or extended planned leave?
F14: LOCATION AND RELOCATION IMPLICATIONS
Evidence and scope. San Francisco dominates the inspected sample, with Seattle, New York and Washington, DC also present. Several postings advertise relocation support. The Alignment role includes a conditional London possibility, which is not a basis for applying US compensation or benefits internationally. The government delivery role adds substantial potential travel. [C003, C111, C116; S111, S116]
Interpretation. Evaluate the location attached to the offer before treating relocation support as compensation. Ask which costs are eligible, whether the employer pays vendors or reimburses the employee, and whether repayment depends on tenure or reason for departure. These conditions were not found in a binding relocation policy during this review. No household budget or regional living-cost estimate is inferred because the member's circumstances and a suitable local comparison were not supplied.
Variation and unknowns. The two header/body conflicts are consequential to both cost and eligibility. Seattle or Mountain View should not be accepted as approved alternatives until the hiring team resolves the wording. The existence of relocation support does not establish immigration sponsorship or eligibility for any particular applicant. [C052, C053; S103, S117]
Candidate question. What location is approved, what relocation costs are covered, what repayment or service conditions apply, and will travel or customer-site attendance change the normal weekly work pattern?
F15: COMPENSATION PROGRESSION
Evidence and scope. Public role ranges provide starting-point information. An Account Associate description mentions a potential progression path, but a company-wide merit budget, review calendar and equity-refresh formula were not verified. These are separate missing facts, not evidence that pay never increases. [C045, C048; S101, S006, S107]
Interpretation. A professional evaluating a multi-year commitment should distinguish salary review, promotion review and new equity grants. They may occur on different schedules and depend on different decisions. Ask when a new hire first becomes eligible and whether joining after a cutoff delays review. Establish whether a new title changes the band automatically or only after a separate approval.
Variation and unknowns. An individual recruiter's illustration is not a guaranteed progression schedule. Equity refresh value can depend on valuation and grant structure, so it should not be combined with base-pay growth as though both were cash raises. No forecast for future compensation is calculated.
Candidate question. When is the first compensation review, what evidence and decision-makers determine it, and how do promotion, salary adjustment and equity-refresh decisions differ? Ask how substantial scope changes are documented between review cycles.
Evidence and scope. The Account Associate posting describes a conditional path toward Account Director. It does not give a conversion rate, minimum time in role or guaranteed next seat. A universal transfer policy and promotion process were not verified in the inspected careers materials. [C045, C049; S101, S006, S009]
Interpretation. Mobility has at least two practical gates: meeting the receiving role's requirements and obtaining the organizational approvals that allow a move. A candidate should ask about both. An internal applicant may also need to know when a manager is notified, whether a current team can delay release and how an unsuccessful application affects the existing role.
Variation and counterevidence. Organizational change can create new responsibilities, but it can also redirect an intended path. The May consolidation is evidence that structures move, not that any particular worker gained or lost advancement. Ask for recent, comparable examples and the criteria applied, without requesting private personnel information. [C009; S027]
Candidate question. What must be true for an internal transfer or promotion, who has approval authority, and can you describe a recent comparable move without personal details? For the advertised Account Associate path, establish what “business needs” means operationally.
F17: LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Evidence and scope. Public materials describe a development stipend, coaching and early-career pathways. The Residency is a distinct paid, mentored six-month program whose 2026 applications are closed. Public Academy courses are a separate resource for exploration; they are not an employee entitlement or a verified hiring credential. [C037, C038, C041-C043; S006, S008, S009, S011, S104]
Interpretation. The potential learning value lies in access to meaningful work and usable feedback. Before counting a stipend as a benefit, ask its amount, eligible uses and approval process. Before counting a mentor as available, establish how the relationship is assigned, how often meetings happen and what occurs when delivery demands compete with learning time.
Variation and unknowns. Public programs should remain separate from current openings. The closed Residency is the clearest example. The advertised presence of development resources is evidence against assuming learning depends entirely on personal initiative, but practical utilization is still unverified. No learning outcome, certification value or promotion probability is promised.
Candidate question. What development time and budget would be available in this role, who will review my growth against the work, and what happens to those commitments during a demanding delivery period?
F18: ROLE SCOPE AND RESOURCES
Evidence and scope. The sampled architect, compute-finance, product, delivery and IT roles describe cross-functional ownership. They generally do not disclose the complete team size, budget, reporting map or resource-allocation process. Those omissions are understandable in a public posting but matter to an employment decision. [C103, C112, C113, C116, C119; S103, S112, S113, S116, S119]
Interpretation. Translate the job description into a small set of deliverables and dependencies. For each deliverable, establish the decisions the hire controls, the resources already committed and the people whose cooperation is required. A role can be valuable without direct reports, provided escalation and accountability are clear. Conversely, a broad title does not itself establish authority.
Variation, counterevidence and unknowns. The technical incident report explicitly addresses response ownership and decision rights, showing that these questions are operationally relevant. It does not prove the prospective team now has a complete, working mechanism. Existing resources and recent non-confidential examples would provide stronger evidence than assurances about access to the whole organization. [C030; S018]
Candidate question. Which resources are already committed, what decisions are mine, who resolves a blocked dependency, and how would success be assessed if a required tool, customer permission or safety approval were unavailable?
F19: AI ADOPTION AND JOB REDESIGN
Evidence and scope. OpenAI's internal research account describes agent use, continued human intervention and changes to research operations after the July incident. Several inspected business roles also refer to AI-assisted workflows. This supports attention to AI as part of the actual job, while leaving particular deployments and their results untested by this investigator. [C032, C084; S020, S101, S107, S108, S112]
The privacy notice's California addendum says personal information is not used for automated decision-making. A People Research posting describes prospective fairness work across AI-related people processes. These statements are not automatically contradictory: assisting a human workflow, auditing a planned system and making an automated employment decision are different propositions. Current practice and the notice's definitions need clarification. [C028; S025, S108]
Interpretation. Ask how the role's tasks have changed, which outputs require human review and whether performance measures account for verification and correction. More code or agent activity is not the same as better research. The company itself acknowledges this measurement difficulty. The appropriate career question is what judgment remains with the employee and how that judgment is developed and evaluated. [C032; S020]
Variation and unknowns. Executive comments about lower staffing needs for some finance tasks do not identify completed reductions or establish effects for research, support or facilities. No replacement probability is assigned. The documented incident also shows why permission boundaries, monitoring and escalation belong in the job-design discussion. [C033, C029-C031; S028, S017-S019]
Candidate question. Which tasks are now performed with AI, who checks the outputs, and how have workload, staffing and performance expectations changed as a result? Ask which activities must remain human-controlled.
F20: FUTURE CAREER VALUE
Evidence base. The role sample includes systems architecture, evaluation design, financial reporting, compute economics, API product work and complex customer delivery. These are descriptions of work with potentially transferable components. They do not establish the career outcomes of an individual hire. [C103, C107, C110, C112, C113, C116; S103, S107, S110, S112, S113, S116]
Analysis. Future value depends on what the professional learns to do and can later demonstrate. A researcher could strengthen experimental judgment. A finance professional could develop better resource-allocation analysis. A delivery lead could learn to coordinate technical and organizational constraints. The dependency in every case is actual ownership, access to capable feedback and enough continuity to finish meaningful work.
Evidence rights also matter. Ask which outcomes can be described in a résumé, discussed in a future interview or published. Confidential work may still develop valuable capability, but the person needs a lawful way to explain their contribution without disclosing protected information. No permission is inferred from an employer brand or role title.
Counterevidence and limits. Large audience reach and sophisticated tasks can expand learning possibilities. Reorganizations, narrow scope or scarce resources can change what is actually learned. Neither direction supports a guaranteed future hiring advantage. The report does not estimate how another employer would value the OpenAI name or predict an individual's promotion, compensation or entrepreneurial success. [C080, C083; S027, S018]
Candidate question. What demonstrable capabilities and outcomes could I leave this role with, what contribution would I own, and what can be described publicly or through an approved reference? Evaluate the substance of the work alongside the name on the résumé.
F21: CURRENT HIRING ACTIVITY
Evidence and scope. The inspection retained twenty distinct official descriptions and twenty distinct Ashby identifiers. Each official page displayed an Apply control and readable role content without a closure notice. All linked application destinations were opened; each returned only JavaScript-required content in this environment. The resulting status is “official role page live; downstream acceptance untested,” not “application successfully verified.” [C055, C056; S101-S120, S201-S220]
The selection covers research, infrastructure, security, finance, commercial work, people operations, legal, communications and support. It is concentrated in experienced US roles. The general Research Engineer page is explicitly a cross-team recruiting pool. The Residency is separately closed and is not counted among the twenty. [C104, C041; S104, S008]
Interpretation. The sample provides concrete work and qualification evidence. It cannot establish hiring velocity, completed hires, net headcount growth or the company's entire inventory. A job page may remain visible while approvals change; this report did not inspect internal requisition systems. No trend is inferred from the snapshot or from the lack of posting dates.
Variation and unknowns. The application limitation is a technical access boundary, not a finding that OpenAI applications are broken for candidates. Location conflicts also remain separate from page activity. Recheck the exact role close to applying and obtain recruiter confirmation before treating a pool as a particular funded opportunity. [C052, C053, C056; S103, S117]
Candidate question. Is this exact requisition still funded and accepting candidates, is it a specific opening or a cross-team pool, and what team, location and employment entity would issue an eventual offer?
F22: ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ACCESSIBILITY
Evidence and scope. Requirements cannot be reduced to a single OpenAI educational threshold. Alignment describes a relevant PhD or equivalent experience. Site Operations accepts several educational, military or practical routes. Financial Reporting specifies an active CPA; Senior Counsel and Intelligence Community delivery have professional or clearance conditions. These are specific role requirements, not organization-wide rules. [C107, C111, C115, C116, C118; S107, S111, S115, S116, S118]
The Emerging talent page includes zero-to-three-year pathways and self-taught candidates. That does not make an experienced Account Associate role entry-level or reopen the closed 2026 Residency. An accessible route is meaningful only when the candidate meets the actual opening's criteria. [C041, C042, C101; S008, S009, S101]
Interpretation. Separate mandatory credentials from preferred experience and general suitability language. Ask how equivalent experience is assessed and which evidence would demonstrate it. A portfolio can answer some skill questions, while a required license or active clearance may have a different status. This report makes no individualized legal conclusion about eligibility or sponsorship.
Variation and unknowns. Recruiting materials provide an accommodation route, but an individual request was not submitted or tested. Universal visa support, a returnship and a company-wide degree waiver were not verified. Candidates should establish the permitted use of AI during assessments before preparing around it. [C040, C044; S007, S024]
Program-specific clarification. The Residency FAQ describes full-time San Francisco employment, prohibits simultaneous school enrollment, states $18,333 monthly pay and describes immigration support based on individual circumstances. These terms belong to a program whose 2026 application header is closed; its generic rolling-recruitment FAQ does not establish an open seat. They are not universal OpenAI sponsorship or pay terms. [C058; S008]
Candidate question. Which criteria are firm requirements, which accept equivalent evidence, and what accommodation or work-authorization process applies to this exact role? Ask for the distinction before spending substantial preparation time on a mismatched opening.
F23: RECRUITMENT AND INTERVIEW PROCESS
Evidence and scope. The official guide describes introductory discussions, skills assessment and extended final interviews. Its stated durations are guidance, not a promise that every candidate will receive the same sequence or decision timing. No authenticated candidate-experience sample was obtained to compare actual communication or turnaround with the guide. [C039, C040; S007]
Interpretation. Preparation should follow the work and the confirmed assessment. Ask what capability each stage is intended to evaluate and whether the exercise resembles actual responsibilities. Confirm permissible tools, confidentiality restrictions, expected preparation and the amount of time allowed. Do not assume that working at an AI company means unrestricted AI assistance during an interview.
Variation and unknowns. The public application destination was observed but not exercised. Recruiter availability, response times and feedback practices may differ by team, and this report cannot quantify them. A published guide is useful evidence of the intended process but does not replace a current process description for the requisition. [C056; S201-S220]
Candidate question. What stages, assessment rules and decision criteria apply to this requisition, what accommodations are available, and what communication schedule should I expect if the process or hiring timeline changes?
F24: NETWORKING AND REFERRAL ACCESS
Evidence and scope. The Emerging talent page describes community and event routes. The September Academy announcement adds public learning paths. These can support informed exploration; this investigation did not enroll, create accounts, contact employees or test a referral mechanism. No private contact information was collected. [C042, C043; S009, S011]
Interpretation. A useful networking objective is to understand the work well enough to ask a specific question. Public technical materials and role descriptions can identify the team's problem space without implying access to confidential plans. A prospective contact is simply a possible contact until a relationship exists. Attending a public event, completing a course or sharing a professional interest should not be presented as a warm introduction.
Variation and unknowns. Early-career communities do not necessarily serve experienced legal, finance or government-delivery candidates. Public Academy learning is not a verified employment credential. A formal referral policy, eligibility rule or referral advantage was not authenticated. No scraping of restricted professional networks or private applicant information was performed.
Candidate question. Which public team events or communities are relevant to this role, and is there a documented referral route? Establish the rules without assuming a contact can sponsor an application or bypass the stated process.
F25: ONBOARDING AND EARLY SUCCESS
Evidence and scope. The Residency advertises mentoring within its defined program. Public recruiting and role materials do not establish a universal 30/60/90-day plan, buddy assignment or probation-review calendar for all hires. The IT Operations role describes internal readiness work, which is evidence of an operational responsibility rather than proof of each new hire's experience. [C041, C050, C119; S008, S006, S007, S119]
Interpretation. Before starting, convert the role's broad responsibilities into a few agreed early outcomes. Establish who supplies context, which systems and datasets must be available, and who reviews initial work. For a research position, clarify safe experiment boundaries and how access restrictions affect milestones. For finance or legal, define review and approval responsibilities. For support, establish escalation coverage before independent duty.
Variation and unknowns. No internal onboarding plan was fabricated for this report. A cohort program and a senior specialist appointment may require different support. The manager's written explanation, current access checklist and agreed review dates would resolve more uncertainty than a generic statement that employees learn quickly.
Candidate question. What would successful first 30, 60 and 90 days look like, who will support me, and which dependencies must be ready? Ask when expectations will be revisited if the team's priorities or safeguards change.
Inspected role and compensation sample
All records below were collected September 22, 2026. Each original page was readable with an Apply control and no closure notice. All application forms remained unreadable beyond a JavaScript-required response. The displayed pay figures are USD base-pay ranges with equity additional; a per-year label was not explicit in the retrieved HTML. No salary period is silently supplied. Full titles, requirements, UUIDs, URLs and status fields are retained in JSON. [C046, C055, C056]
Qualification detail is retained in the JSON job records. F22 discusses the material distinctions: equivalent-experience pathways, active professional credentials and security-clearance conditions. Each record preserves stated versus preferred qualifications, the complete source URL, the observed application destination and the exact status limits.
Exact legal employing affiliate and employment classification are not supplied in these retained descriptions. An annualized salary context is plausible but unconfirmed; ask for the written unit. The sample is not an invitation to infer hidden vacancies, equal pay comparisons, total compensation or broad remote-work eligibility.
G. Cross-factor tradeoffs and career-situation matrix
The important relationships are between the work, the conditions needed to perform it and the evidence still missing. The register below is analysis grounded in linked claims; it is not a causal model or employer ranking.
T01. Capital access and visible commercial reach
Current cash, audited earnings and a target-team budget are not established. Affected scope: Research, infrastructure and new product teams. The evidence that would resolve the decision is approved team funding and milestone dependencies. Strongest qualification: Funding announcements counter a simplistic distress claim; they do not prove role security. [C011, C012, C015, C016, C017, C081]
T02. Visible salary ranges and equity eligibility
Private-equity economics and individual cash terms remain unknown. Affected scope: All sampled US roles; particularly offer comparison. The evidence that would resolve the decision is written base-pay period, instrument, vesting and liquidity conditions. Strongest qualification: Published ranges are useful evidence; they are not observed offers or realized equity proceeds. [C004, C046, C047, C082]
T03. Autonomy and consequential technical work
Cross-team dependence and safety constraints can change execution. Affected scope: Research, security, infrastructure and product. The evidence that would resolve the decision is current decision rights, resources and response procedures. Strongest qualification: The incident response shows action; independent review does not certify all remediation. [C022, C030, C032, C083, C085]
T04. Advertised leave and learning support
Practical access and workload coverage vary and are not measured. Affected scope: US employees; deadline and on-call roles. The evidence that would resolve the decision is plan documents, target-team coverage and protected learning time. Strongest qualification: One intense project account cannot establish typical leave practice. [C022, C034, C035, C036, C037]
T05. Diverse functions and equivalent-experience routes
Some roles require credentials or clearance; a visible program may be closed. Affected scope: Career changers, early-career and returning professionals. The evidence that would resolve the decision is active requisition, firm versus preferred qualifications and support plan. Strongest qualification: Self-taught/alternative routes are real descriptions, but do not waive role-specific criteria. [C041, C042, C107, C111, C115, C116, C118]
T06. AI-assisted workflows across multiple functions
Verification, judgment and performance expectations remain human work. Affected scope: Finance, people, sales, support and research. The evidence that would resolve the decision is task inventory, review obligations, authority and actual staffing changes. Strongest qualification: Internal use is documented; actual layoffs and causal productivity effects are not established. [C028, C032, C033, C084]
T07. Multiple locations and some flexibility
Header/body conflicts and schedule-specific constraints affect practical eligibility. Affected scope: Systems Architect, Data Engineer, support and government delivery. The evidence that would resolve the decision is written location, attendance and travel terms. Strongest qualification: Remote consideration in one role does not establish a universal remote policy. [C052, C053, C054, C114, C116]
Career-situation matrix
These are general decision lenses. They do not infer a member's skills, needs, protected characteristics or suitability.
Find my next job | Relevant evidence. The sample provides concrete duties, displayed pay and schedule differences. Useful when a specific requisition matches demonstrated skills and its team, location and funding are confirmed. Start with the precise job rather than a brand-level application strategy; separate role-page availability from application acceptance. Next questions: Q04, Q21, Q22, Q23, Q26, Q29. [C046, C054, C055, C056]
Advance where I am | Limited relevant evidence. A conditional commercial path is visible; company-wide promotion and transfer rules remain unknown. Useful as an internal discussion framework when the member can obtain current policy and manager context privately. Ask how expanded scope becomes recognized and which approvals govern transfer, pay and level. Next questions: Q15, Q16, Q18. [C045, C048, C049, C083]
Change careers or industries | Relevant evidence with credential limits. Finance, operations, legal and technical work have distinct entry routes and AI-related tasks. Useful when the professional can demonstrate transferable results and satisfy any explicit license or clearance requirement. Identify the missing domain evidence; do not treat a public learning path as a substitute for a required credential. Next questions: Q17, Q20, Q22. [C107, C111, C115, C118, C084]
Prepare for leadership or executive work | Relevant role-scope evidence. Cross-functional scope and consequential decision rights are visible in several roles. Useful when the candidate can establish actual authority, resources and sponsorship rather than rely on a senior title. Investigate who controls priorities, budget, risk acceptance and blocked dependencies. Next questions: Q05, Q18, Q30, Q38. [C009, C030, C112, C113, C116, C083]
Return to work or establish my career | Limited relevant evidence. Early-career pathways and equivalent-experience routes exist; Residency applications are closed and no dedicated returnship was verified. Useful only after confirming an active route that fits the person's experience and support needs. Distinguish first-career opportunities from experienced-role titles; establish structured onboarding and current cohort availability. Next questions: Q22, Q25, Q39. [C041, C042, C101, C115]
Explore without committing to a move | Relevant public exploration evidence. Public materials permit exploration of work, competitive questions and learning resources without applying. Useful when the objective is understanding rather than an immediate move or an assumed referral. Read the relevant role and public technical material, then identify the specific evidence needed to judge an opportunity. Next questions: Q20, Q24. [C018, C043, C055, C080]

I. Contradictions, unknowns and refresh requirements
X01: Financing and ownership figures refer to different stages. The October 2025 ownership split is historical. February uses pre-money valuation; March uses post-money valuation and an expanded commitment. Neither permits adding the rounds or calling the old percentages current. Status: Resolved for interpretation; current capitalization unknown. Resolving evidence: A current capitalization summary and confirmation of funds received. [C005, C012, C014; S001, S003, S013, S014]
X02: Run rate, commitments and liquidity are different measurements. ARR is not recognized annual revenue; committed capital is not current unrestricted cash; an expected October payment had not occurred at the research date. Status: Resolved definitions; current financial amounts unavailable. Resolving evidence: Audited accounts, a dated liquidity statement and completed funding receipts. [C011, C012, C013, C015, C016; S012, S014, S015]
X03: Generous leave description and one intense project account. An advertised maximum and an individual's early return do not establish either universal denial or universal practical access to leave. Status: Experience variation; prevalence unknown. Resolving evidence: Target-team coverage practices and applicable plan documents. [C022, C035, C036; S021, S102, S103]
X04: Systems Architect location header and body differ. Header includes Seattle; body specifies San Francisco. Status: Unresolved. Resolving evidence: Written recruiter confirmation of approved city and offer terms. [C052, C103; S103]
X05: Data Engineer location header and body differ. Header includes Mountain View; body says exclusively San Francisco headquarters. Status: Unresolved. Resolving evidence: Written recruiter confirmation and corrected requisition. [C053, C117; S117]
X06: Generic board description and specific Christiano appointment differ. Use the September 9 non-voting Group observer description for Christiano; do not infer a voting Group seat from generic wording. Status: Narrowed to dated specific evidence. Resolving evidence: Current authoritative director/observer roster. [C007; S001, S005]
X07: Historical restrictions and reported corrective release. Historical reporting must be paired with the reported release of a majority of former employees; neither establishes a new hire's present agreement. Status: Historical sequence supported; individual terms unknown. Resolving evidence: Current grant, confidentiality, exit and release documents. [C026, C027, C047; S022, S023, S101]
X08: AI-related people work versus privacy notice statement. The California notice says no automated decision-making; a fairness role concerns AI-related people processes. Assistance, planned audits and automated decisions are distinct. Status: No contradiction established; current implementation unknown. Resolving evidence: Current notice, system inventory and human decision authority for employment processes. [C028, C108; S025, S108]
X09: Incident response and independent review scope. Independent incident investigation does not certify OpenAI's proposed mitigations. Company-reported restrictions show response, not proof that every control is effective. Status: Scope reconciled; effectiveness unresolved. Resolving evidence: Dated implementation evidence, independent control testing and clear restoration criteria. [C029, C030, C031, C032; S017, S018, S019, S020]
X10: A visible development program is not necessarily open. The general talent pathways exist while the 2026 Residency application is closed. Status: Resolved at check. Resolving evidence: New dated cohort opening and active requisition. [C041, C042; S008, S009]
X11: Acquisition announcement versus completed employer integration. The March Astral announcement states closing conditions. Later completion was not verified. Status: Unresolved subsequent status. Resolving evidence: Closing announcement or equivalent authoritative transaction record. [C020; S030]
X12: Official Apply link versus downstream application access. Twenty official descriptions were readable with Apply controls; linked forms rendered only JavaScript-required text. Status: Observed access limitation; acceptance untested. Resolving evidence: Recheck the authorized ATS form in a supported candidate session without submitting an application unless authorized. [C055, C056; S031, S101, S201]
Publication-readiness limits
This sourced research should not be read as an assurance that OpenAI is a preferred employer or that every factor is known. The most important unresolved publication issues are current court/appeal disposition, transaction completion, the CRO transition dates, a current board-role reconciliation, and whether later evidence changes the incident response description. The research avoids asserting answers to these gaps. [C007-C008, C020, C030-C031, C057]
Offer-specific uncertainties cannot be solved by public company research: actual legal employer, compensation period and placement, equity documents, benefits eligibility, manager practices, approved location and resources. These are retained as questions rather than promotional claims. The narrow employee-experience sample must remain identified. [C002, C022, C046-C050, C052-C053]
No comprehensive government, court, labor or establishment-safety clearance was achieved. The unsuccessful CourtListener retrieval and restricted news sources are listed openly. Unsupported figures from inaccessible finance reporting were not used. An unavailable record limits the conclusion; it does not erase the concern or prove the allegation. [S090-S093]
Editorial refresh plan
This is a maintenance recommendation, not a scheduled monitoring service.
Jobs and application routes | Before publication and immediately before applying. Reopen original role, verify destination and get role-specific confirmation; do not submit without authorization. [C052, C053, C055, C056]
Compensation, equity, benefits and work terms | Before offer acceptance. Obtain dated applicable documents and resolve unit/location conflicts. [C034, C035, C036, C046, C047, C048]
Funding and finances | At the next material disclosure; before any financial-security statement. Check completed financing tranches, audited or otherwise clearly characterized accounts and current team funding. [C011, C012, C013, C015, C016]
Leadership and organization | Before publication and after a leadership announcement. Check dated official appointments and current rosters; distinguish observers from voting directors. [C006, C007, C008, C009, C010]
Court and regulatory disposition | Before discussing legal finality. Read underlying judgment and latest authorized public docket; retain UNKNOWN if inaccessible. [C057]
Safety, internal AI and employee-data policies | On a new incident report or material control update. Read current controls, independent review scope and updated privacy notice; never infer effectiveness from policy alone. [C028, C029, C030, C031, C032]
Residency and Astral status | When a new cohort or transaction update appears. Verify closing or program opening from an authoritative dated record. [C020, C041]
Review and validation boundary
A separate model-led critical review checks claims against the inspected source scope, source independence, dates, financial definitions, job deduplication and narrative consistency. Local validation checks JSON syntax, identifiers, references, factor coverage, and artifact integrity. PDF rendering and text comparison are separate checks. The accompanying validation receipt records checks actually executed; no independent human review or live production integration is claimed.
J. References and access records
Source IDs remain stable across the dossier, article and JSON. Publication dates are shown only when supplied by the source; an access date is never substituted for an unknown publication date. All records were accessed or attempted September 22, 2026. “Readable” does not mean independent validation of every employer statement.
